Can't argue with your taste, but I simply don't like the sound of Jerry's guitar. Thus, it is nearly impossible for me to be objective.

I agree with comments below, the 9/18/87 Dew is pretty great and I'm sure there are others I would prefer based on the guitar and keyboard alone. Really Weir, Vince and Jerry just have a strange sound during this tour. Jerry has that sort of muted nylon string sound, Bob sounds like he's plinking a tin can guitar and Vince....well listen to the solo in JBG. I'm sure Vince sounded better live than he does on this tape, but I find it hard to listen.

right on. I think I am of the small group who seems to be able to enjoy w.e sound they have at the time. I love bobby in 72 and I love him in the 80s, totally different sounds and styles. Same with jerry, same with phil. I think vince is the one person I find it hard to deal with and I find him to be as good as he gets in this version.
